2. Ricardo Kaka to Real Madrid
A world-class talent with enormous potential, Kaka signed for Real Madrid in 2009 for a staggering £65 million and was arguably at the peak of his career. After 7 highly successful spells with Milan, the former Brazil player was expected to pull Blancos out of treading waters and drag them to great heights. But it turned out to be a classic case of ‘expensive flop’ as the midfielder was never able to emulate the quintessence of swagger which was seen during his Milan days. Injuries reared its ugly head over the Brazilian and despite his promising displays on certain occasions, Kaka was never able to build on it and was deemed catastrophic. After 4 years at the Spanish capital that was filled with trials and tribulations, Kaka reunited with his darling club AC Milan in 2013.
