The 22 year old German who recently scored the World Cup winning goal was a rising star and a product of Dortmund’s youth academy. Winning the Bundesliga twice with Dortmund , Gotze had already made his name as a young attacking midfielder for the future. In 2013 Gotze’s move to rivals Bayern was one of the most shocking moves in the football world given the love Dortmund fans gave him. Working under Pep Guardiola was the reason Gotze decided to move to Bayern but sure we know that does not convince the fans.
